Easy way to make it more pain free
I started using an epilator many years ago and many of the hairs have never grown back - and those that have are growing in much finer. I love not having to shave every day, I love how my underarms and bikini area don't have visible dark hair stubble - and look hair free. Yes it hurts a little but there are a few things I've found to make it much more comfortable: 1) take 3 or 4 (no more!) Advil or Ibuprophen pills about 45 minutes before you start, 2) take a bath and soak the legs/area in very warm water to soften the skin and make hair easier to remove, 3) right before you start, spray Bactine on the area, let it dry, then start using the epilator (Bactine has a pain reliever ingredient that will help relieve the discomfort)
When you first start using the epilator, begin with areas that are not so painful: knees and shins, then move on to more sensitive areas. Don't ever start around ankle area or bikini area first because these are more sensitive spots. Once you can handle the less sensitive areas, the other areas won't be so bad. And you don't have to do all your hair at once - you can do a little today, a little more in a few days. There are going to be some hairs that break off, but this is normal in the beginning. And in the beginning you'll still be using your razor on occasion for touchups. But stick with it and you will get rid of a lot of hair permanently, and most will grow back lighter and finer.
As for the kind of epilator to use, I really recommend this one. Braun makes a very good quality epilator (many others are cheaply made and not worth it), and although Braun has the higher-end 5 series and 7 series, I find that these are an extra expense that is unnecessary. This one is just as good as the higher-end ones and you don't need all the other features such as for it to be waterproof. It's best to use this on dry skin, not wet. Also, the cord on this is quite long so having a cordless one is pretty pointless unless that is important to you.
